So can you or can't you? Ditch the shower eye goggles...but not too far. You may need those when you go swimming.

Of course you can get your lashes wet! But be careful since too much water starts having a love-hate relationship with the glue bond. So what is too much water on your lashes? Not drying your lashes after you take a shower or steaming your lashes while you're in the shower. Regular face and eye washing is encouraged for proper eye health.

Now you may say that when you DO get them wet the extensions are falling out faster. This is where the viscous cycle starts. IF you dont normally have water running through your eyes then the product/oil/grime buildup sits there in between the extensions and when the motion of water comes...it loosens the bond and off they go.

How can you combat this? If you dont have a daily lash hygiene routine, start one now! It can be a gradual process, once every three days and then working up to everyday, so that you can get use to the routine and stick to it. Lash cleansing brushes have become a game changer, ask your technician for one. Once your lashes get accustomed to the routine your natural lashes will be taking a breath of fresh air!

Now lets talk about swimming! Chlorine is never you friend so those goggles that you had in shower can now be put in your swim bag as should your protecting sealant. If you're an ocean swimmer remember to rinse your eyes if you were dipping under water. Salt buildup can be quite uncomfortable on your eyes.
